Sacred Falls Races Way Into World’s Top Ten

Waikato Stud’s dual Gr 1 Doncaster Handicap winner Sacred Falls has raced his way into the top 10 on the ARF Racehorse Rankings for three-year-olds and upwards, which raced between January 1 and May 4, 2014. His exploits from Chris Waller’s Sydney stable have earned him a rating of 120 by the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings Committee.
The home-bred son of O’Reilly and the Redoute’s Choice mare Iguazu’s Girl began his career in sensational style from the Cambridge stable of Tony Pike and Mark Donoghue. He won his first six starts, culminating in the Gr 1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas at Riccarton.
Sacred Falls is currently spelling after finishing runner-up in his last appearance in the Gr 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick. He will take his place on Waikato Stud’s stallion roster at the conclusion of his racing career.

The breeding shed is starting to get a bit patchy now as we come towards the end of the breeding season down here. That has gone extremely well throughout the whole season and we’re well and truly past the 600 individual mares now, and the stallions have gone extremely well as have the team there.
