Brave Centaur making good progress

A water walker is proving beneficial to Brave Centaur’s (NZ) (O’Reilly) return to full health at Flemington.

The Matamata gelding suffered superficial hip injuries during his flight to Melbourne last week which has delayed his Australian debut.

Trainer Lance Noble said Brave Centaur had responded well and was on target to run in the A$121,000 Listed Paris Lane Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 4.

”He does a lot of work on the water walker at home so he’s well used to it. He’s as good as gold now, but we had to treat him with medication so as to prevent any infection and that meant he couldn’t race (last Saturday).”
