Genuine Spin Lobs Home At Flemington

Genuine Spin comfortably graduated to metropolitan class in Melbourne yesterday when she distanced his age group rivals at Flemington. The Pins three-year-old gave a strong performance over 2000 metres to score by a widening four lengths.

While her brother Stickpin was a Gr 3 winning sprinter of the Victoria Handicap and also placed in the Gr 1 Sir Rupert Clark Stakes, this filly has more than hinted at a bright middle distance future. She is prepared at Caulfield by Peter Moody, who bought her out of WS’s Premier Sale line-up at Karaka in 2010 for $65,000.

The winner of one of her previous four starts, Genuine Spin is out of the unraced Quest For Fame mare Reputedly who has a perfect record at stud with all three of her foals to have having been successful. Her last two Pins foals sold at Karaka were snapped up by Australian interests for $160,000 and $175,000 respectively.
