Rock ‘n’ Pop’s daughter Rock ‘n’ Affair is repaying the patience invested in her and she looks set to make her mark in good company.
The four-year-old beat stakes winner Gift Of Power at Trentham today to post her third win in five appearances.
“It was a good effort and I’ve always rated her, she’s by a good Waikato Stud stallion,” trainer Kevin Gray said.
“I’ve got a lot of time for this mare and Howard Forbes has been a very good owner of mine.”
Courtesy of a canny ride by Tony Allan, Rock ‘n’ Affair settled in the trail from a wide gate.
When Allan popped her out in the straight she finished determinedly for an impressive win.
She is a daughter of Stravinskys Affair, the winner of four races from Gray’s stable.
