Ocean Park’s talented daughter strikes again

Ocean Park

Lightly tried mare Ocean’s Jen continued her march through the ranks in Victoria on Wednesday evening with another impressive victory at Sandown.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained daughter of Ocean Park had bolted in at Cranbourne
last month and she was again untroubled to win over 1400 metres and the third success of her
seven-start career.

“She’s found her groove and is in a rich vein of form. We’ll continue to work her through the grades,
she’s racing very well,” stable representative Jack Turnbull said.

Ocean’s Jen settled in sixth spot on her own before rider Matthew Cartwright inched forward 500
metres from home and the pair swept down the outside to score with ease.

Bred by Waikato Stud, the four-year-old was a $32,000 Karaka May Sale graduate and is sister to
stablemate and five-time winner Ocean’s Thirteen and a half-sister to the Group performer Florence
Jean, whose sibling Morse Code won nine races.

Their dam is the O’Reilly mare Really Reputable, who is a half-sister to the G3 Victoria H. winner
Stickpin.
