Synchronize produces dazzling display

Well-related mare Synchronize added significantly to her future broodmare value with a sizzling first-up stakes victory at Pukekohe Park on Boxing Day.
The daughter of Savabeel resumed in the Listed Hallmark Stud Handicap over 1200 metres off the back of two preparatory trials and powered home from the back of the field to win going away by 2.3l in the hands of Craig Zackey.
Bred and sold by Waikato Stud, Synchronize has now won four of her eight starts and will be chasing further black type at her next appearance on January 21.
“I thought she would go a really well fresh and it was unfortunate that she bled back in August, but we are on top of the problem now,” trainer Mark Walker said.
“The key is to keep her fresh and it was a good ride. He held her up and she showed a great turn of foot. She’ll probably come back here for the G3 Concorde H.”
Synchronize was a $280,000 Karaka yearling purchase for Te Akau’s David Ellis and is out of the unraced O’Reilly mare Splits.
“She was a beautiful yearling and Savabeel has just been incredible for the breeding industry,” Walker said.
Splits is a daughter of the dual elite level winner Legs and the family of Tiptronic and Guyno, also
successful at Group 1 level.
