Tivaci 3YO scores at Rotorua

Stephen Marsh had lofty expectations of Sinhaman at Rotorua on Thursday afternoon and he wasn’t
disappointed.

The Cambridge trainer had expected the Waikato Stud-bred and sold son of Tivaci to break his
maiden over 1400 metres and the three-year-old duly delivered, albeit narrowly.

Placed at his previous two appearances, Sinhaman settled in the trial before Opie Bosson angled off
the fence before the turn and he finished resolutely to get in the deciding stride.

“The field had dropped away a bit and he was due, I thought he should be winning,” Marsh said.
“He still hasn’t switched on yet and will probably end up in headgear, but he’s a really nice horse
going forward.”

Sinhaman is the first foal of the Savabeel mare Polish and was purchased at New Zealand
Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale by Archer Equine Investments for $200,000.

His dam is out of a sister to the dam of the G1 New Zealand Oaks heroine Amarelinha and is also a
sister to the multiple Group 1 winner Metal Bender.

Polish’s second foal is a colt by Ardrossan who was sold to Waikato horseman Paul Pertab for
$60,000 at Karaka and she has a yearling filly by Ardrossan and is due to foal to Super Seth.
