So, I can imagine the last thing you want to hear about is whether my heart is beating or not. Well, you are going to hear a little because the message the Cardiologist and her support team hammered away at, was the need for at least annual checks particularly as you age. Now, I am no longer aging no I am now a well-aged barrel, (similar shape) not to suggest the process has stopped but the feeling not much else can go wrong is wrong.

I was fortunate, I have been short of breath on and off for some time. Our trip to Sydney was a wonderful family experience, but my impediment was spotted, fortunately, expediting a full-on family attack. Twelve hours after landing I was on a treadmill, just a three-minute set, I knew I was no hope. The next day a scan of the heart confirmed my natural generosity was aligned with the heart size. So far no problem. The next day the infusion of the dye quickly confirmed an 89% blockage of the heart’s main artery. Four hours later on the way home with a newly plumbed stent.

Now, I am not at this stage about to run a marathon, but then I never have, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to everyone who contributed. Do you now have the message, if one of you eleven readers thinks about the unknown possibility you may be functioning on only 11% of your REQUIRED capacity then this Corner is a worthwhile contribution to Waikato’s newsletter.

It is interesting to get a grip on our new wagering providers. Their clear motivation is higher turnover creates a better result for all. Of course, it is you say, their picture is one of excitement, quick action to maintain this stimuli. Their involvement in the TAB Everest was about a much-needed rebrand, all marketing is difficult to measure the effect, so the NZ marketing of the Everest would have to be considered a success. Let’s hope those excited by the last few months find some stickability, Entains spending would not have been recovered but unlike our previous administration these are promotions that are risks they bear with any benefits we share.

This leads me to a comment made to me in Sydney, “it will be interesting to see if the results of this enterprise results in a substantial change in Entains bottom line, how it will be received?” Well, I can tell you, very few will remember the loss leads.

By then, if they are still around the current executive should follow my recent experience, and have an immediate check-up.
