Tivaci filly remains unbeaten

Promising filly Rayet continued the perfect start she has made to her career with a successful return
visit to New Plymouth on Wednesday afternoon.

The Ben and Ryan Foote-trained daughter of Tivaci had broken her maiden on debut earlier this month on the course and had no trouble accounting for her more experienced Rating 65 rivals over 1100 metres.

Rayet jumped well to sit outside the leader and with a minimum of urging strode clear in the run home to win with plenty of authority.

Courtney Barnes was again in the saddle in the familiar colours of breeder Waikato Stud, who will offer the three-year-old’s half-sister by Super Seth at next month’s New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale as Lot 376.

They are out of the Savabeel mare Save The Stars, who also has a two-year-old colt by Tivaci, and she is a sister to the dual Group 1 winner Savvy Coup.

The pedigree page also boasts the four-time elite level winner Probabeel and Never Been Kissed, who won the G1 Flight Stakes in the Matamata nursery’s colours.
