Potent family strikes again

Allhallowtide has a proud family tradition to live up to and he added another winning post to the honours board at Kembla Grange on Tuesday.

The well-related son of Savabeel appreciated the third-up step to 1600 metres after solid performances to open his current campaign for trainer John O’Shea.

Allhallowtide was slowly away and settled at the tail of the field under rider Tyler Schiller.

The four-year-old improved wide out near the turn and mowed his rivals down in the straight for a comfortable victory and the second of his nine-start career.

“He ran really well after not jumping as well as we had hoped, so he did a really good job,” stable representative Jade Lys said.

Allhallowtide is raced by breeders Waikato Stud and Rosemont Stud and is a half-brother to Sacred Falls’ siblings All Saints’ Eve and All Hallows’ Eve who were Group 3 winners for the trans-Tasman partnership.

They are out of the late Encosta De Lago mare Halloween, who also produced the G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas winner Hasahalo and the G3 White Robe Lodge Stakes winner Hasabro through previous visits to Savabeel.
