Sacred Falls mare strikes again
Genuine mare Walk Of Fame furthered her record in fine style at Geelong on Friday afternoon.
The Danny O’Brien-prepared Sacred Falls mare has been a model of consistency for breeder-owner Waikato Stud with three victories and six placings from her 12 appearances.
The four-year-old was quickly into stride from the outside to barrier and crossed to lead before settling in behind the leader.
Walk Of Fame was into the clear before the home bend and comfortably lengthened stride to comfortably account for her Benchmark 64 opposition over 1400 metres.
“It was a fantastic result, she began well to negate that draw and we got into a good spot,” successful rider Blake Shinn said.
“She quickened well and I’m rapt to ride another winner for Danny.”
Walk Of Fame is the first foal of the Savabeel mare Boulevard who is a sister to the G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Acting with their dam Hollywood a daughter of the two-time Group 1 winner Glamour Puss.
Her half-brother Vision And Power also claimed a brace of top-flight titles while the pedigree further features the G1 Coolmore Classic winner Steps In Time.
Boulevard also has an unraced juvenile Super Seth colt named El Tercero, who was a A$240,000 purchase for Busuttin Racing and Group 1 Bloodstock at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
She also has a Tivaci yearling filly and is in foal to Ardrossan.

The breeding shed is starting to get a bit patchy now as we come towards the end of the breeding season down here. That has gone extremely well throughout the whole season and we’re well and truly past the 600 individual mares now, and the stallions have gone extremely well as have the team there.
