Early strike for well-bred mare

Minnehaha Falls has quickly added winning performance to her illustrious pedigree.
The four-year-old daughter of the late Sacred Falls had finished an encouraging fourth before she cruised to victory over 1625 metres at Wyong on Sunday afternoon.
Bred and raced by Waikato Stud, the late bloomer is trained by Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald and was ridden by expatriate Kiwi jockey Alysha Collett.
The mare cruised along in third spot before improving near the turn and didn’t need to find top gear in the straight to romp home by two lengths.
Minnehaha Falls is a sister to the G1 Empire Rose Stakes winner Ice Bath and the G3 Sha Tin Vase winner Courier Wonder with their dam the Savabeel mare Fabulist, who was successful on six occasions.
Fabulist has an unraced three-year-old filly by Super Seth named Superfabulistic and had a daughter of Tivaci last season and is due to foal to Ardrossan.
