Noverre Adds Another Australian Winner

Waikato Stud’s exciting young sire Noverre has posted another winner in Australia, with the promising filly Oceans Fouroseven delivering an emphatic front-running performance to break her maiden in dominant fashion.

Making every post a winner, Oceans Fouroseven led throughout to score by a commanding six lengths for Malua Racing (Leon & Tory Corstens & Will Larkin), with Harry Coffey in the saddle. It was a display full of authority from a filly clearly still on the way up.

The victory came at just her second start. The three-year-old debuted over 1300m, finishing fifth of 12, and it was clear the step up in trip was going to suit, she relished the 1600m and was never in danger once she’d taken up the running.

Oceans Fouroseven was secured by her trainers in partnership with Ash Dowley Bloodstock for $60,000 from the Curraghmore draft at the 2025 Karaka Ready to Run Sale, a purchase already looking like a shrewd piece of buying.

A Group One-winning son of champion sire Savabeel, Noverre has made a bright start to his stud career, and results like this – a tough, genuine winner stretching out strongly over a mile – underline the qualities that made him such a highly regarded addition to the Waikato Stud roster.
