Audacious Pursuit keeps Ardrossan’s Hong Kong momentum rolling
Waikato Stud sire Ardrossan continued his outstanding run of success in Hong Kong on Wednesday at Happy Valley, with Audacious Pursuit adding another victory to the stallion’s growing tally in Hong Kong.
It has become a familiar sight for Ardrossan to sire winners in Hong Kong, and the progressive four-year-old was up to the task in Race 3, relishing the step up to 1650 metres to score in determined fashion.
Prepared by Caspar Fownes and ridden by Joao Moreira, who brought up his 55th winner of the season aboard the gelding, Audacious Pursuit has continued to reward connections since being purchased by Waikato Bloodstock (BAFNZ) for $200,000 from Elsdon Park’s Karaka draft.
Audacious Pursuit is the second foal from the Sebring mare Dolce Amore and is another example of the quality and versatility being produced by Ardrossan, whose progeny continue to perform on the international stage.
With 17 stakes performers already to his name from limited opportunities, Ardrossan continues to build momentum. His fee remains unchanged at $20,000 plus GST, live foal, for the 2026 breeding season.
