Dreamy win for Savabeel mare

Dream All Day, a sister to Atishu and Mazzolino

Dream All Day (ex Posy) added further performance to her impressive pedigree at Flemington this afternoon.

The four-year-old daughter of Savabeel produced a commanding front-running performance to win over 1600 metres and take her record to two victories and four placings from six appearances.

Her return to Flemington as an odds-on favourite was in stark contrast to her previous visit during the winter when she had finished runner-up as a 200 to 1 chance.

Trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr then spelled the Waikato Stud-bred and raced Dream All Day, who bounced well from her outside barrier today to cross the field and dictate terms.

“She showed her versatility as she had been giving away big starts,” Kent Jnr said.

“There might be an 1800m race for her in a few weeks and she’s a lovely mare in the future.”

Dream All Day was travelling easily at the top of the straight and never looked in danger of defeat in the run home in the hands of Blake Shinn.

“She’s still a work in progress and there’s plenty of upside to her,” he said.

“It’s great to ride a winner for Waikato Stud, they know how to breed a good one.”

Dream All Day is a sister to the three-time Group 1 winner Atishu and to Mazzolino, successful in the Gr.3 Desert Gold Stakes.

Their dam is the No Excuse Needed mare Posy, a sister to Daffodil who also posted three victories at the elite level.
