Fashion Shoot scores again
Quality mare Fashion Shoot added to her record when she downed the open class sprinters
at Tauranga on Saturday afternoon.
The Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson-prepared daughter of Savabeel had finished runner- up at Matamata at her previous appearance and produced a determined display to go one better over 1400 metres.
Fashion Shoot settled third last on the fence before she was angled of the rail before the turn and finished gallantly to score in a driving finish.
The six-year-old has now won seven races, including the G3 Canterbury Breeders’ Stakes and is a multiple black-type placegetter.
Bred by Waikato Stud with Howard and Pam Forbes, she was purchased at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale by Te Akau boss David Ellis for $320,000.
Fashion Shoot is a daughter of the O’Reilly mare High Fashion who was a dual Group 3 winner and is also the dam of the seven-time winner and stakes performer Savvy Valentino.
Now retired, High Fashion has an unraced Savabeel three-year-old filly named Fashion Savvy and a yearling colt by Super Seth.
