Genius has all the answers

Savabeel mare Genius continues to do her younger Karaka-bound brother favours.

The Garry Chittick-bred and raced four-year-old was an effortless winner at Hawera yesterday to further her record to three victories and eight placings from 13 appearances.

Trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, the four-year-old has a sibling entered in the Select Sale at the upcoming Karaka sale (Lot 1024) in the WS draft. They are out of the O’Reilly mare I Que, who is a half-sister to the Listed New Zealand St Leger winner Ritzy Lady.

It is a pedigree that boasts an international flavour with family member Hancock Park (Pompeii Court) the winner of the Gr 3 Greyville Fillies’ Classic in South Africa. She is also the dam of the Gr 2 Kenilworth Fillies’ Championship winner and Group One performer Park Lane.
