Lovely start to career
5 January 2015
Black type-winning Danasinga mare One Love has made a bright start to her stud career. Her first foal by O’Reilly is Love Field, who has been successful in Australia, and a younger sister made a triumphant start to her career at Taupo last week.
Trained by Jason Bridgman for WS, Is This Love had several preparatory trials before scoring over 1400 metres. The three-year-old’s mother won seven races, including the Listed NZB Insurance Stakes at Riccarton.
It is a family that has been productive for WS and features Is This Love’s close relative Kildare (O’Reilly), who was the winner of the Gr 3 Bauhinia Sprint Trophy in Hong Kong. Also featured in the pedigree is the dual Group One Hong Kong Mile and Stewards’ Cup winner Glorious Days.
