Purrfect result at Trentham

Purrfect Puss handled a rise class with aplomb at Trentham on Saturday afternoon to post the first winning strike of her fledgling career.
Placed in two of her previous three starts, the Sacred Falls filly took on a number of winners in a competitive age group event over 1200 metres and put them away in style.
The Peter & Shaun McKay-trained Perfect Puss settled off the pace and once into the clear she accelerated sharply under rider Michael McNab.
“She was up in grade quite a bit, but she got a nice run and was really good in the straight,” McNab
said.
Purrfect Puss is raced by co-breeders Waikato Stud and Trevor Luke and is a daughter of the One Cool Cat mare Miss Purrfection.
She was successful on four occasions and has done a fine job as a broodmare with five winners to her credit, including multiple Singapore stakes winner Kiwi Karma and the Listed Winter H. winner and Group placegetter Seaway.
A half-sister to the G2 Sir Byrne Hart S. winner and G1 Telegraph H. runner-up Cheiron, Miss Purrfection has an unraced two-year-old half-sister by Ocean Park to Purrfect Puss.
