Regal effort from Savabeel 4YO
Sir Albert produced an impressive performance on his home track on Saturday afternoon to double his winning tally.
Trained at Riccarton by Terri Rae, the Waikato Stud-bred son of Savabeel has been patiently handled and now has a brace of victories from his seven appearances and has yet to miss a top five finish.
The four-year-old settled toward the tail of the field under rider Sam Weatherley before improving widest at the top of the straight and thundered home to mow down his Rating 65 rivals at the end of 1600 metres.
Sir Albert is a son of the unraced O’Reilly mare Diana Dors, whose first two foals Colville House and Sly Corner have been multiple winners in Australia.
The dam is a sister to the G2 Makybe Diva S. winner Vigor and the G2 Avondale Guineas winner Joey Massino and a half-sister to the inaugural Karaka Million winner Vincent Mangano.
Diana Dors has a juvenile filly by Tivaci and produced a daughter of Ardrossan last season and is in foal to Staphanos.

Trained by Bevan Laming and ridden by Martin Harley, the three-year-old executed a patient, weight-conscious strategy to perfection, storming home to secure a stylish win, further proving his bright future.
