Rock ‘n’ Pop’s son a smart buy
The Waikato Stud-bred and sold My Boss is proving a tidy piece of business for his Singapore owners.
He was purchased by Asian World Racing for $7500 and that investment has now been more than quadrupled.
After a handful of starts, the son of Rock ‘n’ Pop broke through at Kranji over 1400 metres.
The three-year-old is out of the Pins mare Be Fabulous, a sister to the stakes winner and Group performer Keano.
Be Fabulous’ third dam is the Gr.1 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Courtza, mother of the champion sire O’Reilly.
Kovalica gives Ocean Park and Saturday double in Gr.2 Q22
Ocean Park’s Group 1 winner Kovalica returned to top form in the Gr.2 Q22, while Identikit impressed with a dominant 6.8-length win at Wanganui on heavy ground.
