Shopaholic Retired

Waikato Stud’s multiple black-type winning racemare Shopaholic (Pins) has been retired to stud.

Prepared by Danny O’Brien, Shopaholic smartly replicated the Australian black-type success achieved by her dam Splashing Out (O’Reilly), carving out her own black-type print in the Gr.2 Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield and the Gr.3 The Vanity Stakes (1410) at Flemington

“We wanted to breed to Shopaholic before it was too late in the season,” explained Waikato Stud boss, Mark Chittick.

“She’s done a wonderful job for the pedigree, which has kept getting stronger in recent times thanks also to Sacred Falls and Aspinal.

Shopaholic will visit Savabeel.
