WS-breds shine at the Racing Victoria Off The Track Carnival

Last weekend saw many retired racehorses and their careers compete in various disciplines, and one star who shone brightly was Eden Pearson’s 10-year-old ott horse, Tango.

Once racing as Does It (Pins ex Just Be Cos), Tango raced 45 times, winning on five occasions and accumulating prizemoney of $275,550 before retiring in June 2024 for trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly.

Tango has his own dedicated Instagram page, where Eden provided a proud update:

I wasn’t really sure what to expect this weekend, having never taken Tango away for more than a day trip, but he handled the whole experience like a true professional. He happily hung out in his yard all weekend, stayed super relaxed when left on his own and took everything in his stride.

We had some very relaxed warm-ups for all of our dressage tests (although that relaxation didn’t quite follow us into the ring 😅), and he jumped better than I’ve ever felt him jump.

Lots of lessons learned and plenty to keep working on, but we finished the weekend on such a high. Tango jumped clear in our final SJ round to qualify for the jump-off, then jumped another super clear round to finish 5th in the jump-off 🥹
