Sacred Pins Back In Style At Gosford

Exciting three-year-old Sacred Pins picked up exactly where he left off last year when he maintained his perfect record at Gosford. The son of champion sire Pins won both his starts before Christmas for Sydney premiership winner Chris Waller and was untroubled to retain his unbeaten record yesterday.

The gelding had been successful at the first time of asking on a heavy track at Warwick Farm in October before making it two out of two on a good track at Rosehill and was then put aside. He made his successful return yesterday over 1200 metres for rider Hugh Bowman.

Sacred Pins was bred at WS and a $130,000 buy for Mulcaster Bloodstock during the Select session at Karaka last year. A brother to Singapore winner Maple Star, he is out of the unraced Centaine mare Hideaway who is a sister to the Garry Chittick-bred Taupo Retreat, winner of the Gr 1 Gosforth November Handicap in South Africa.
