Said Com Makes A Gr 1 Statement

Said Com provided WS’s prized resident sire O’Reilly with his latest Group One credit when he beat all bar the marvellous Mosheen in Saturday’s Royal Randwick Guineas. It was an outstanding effort from the home-bred who was stepping up to the big time at his sixth start.

“He ran a sensational race, got a great run in transit and obviously got beaten by an amazing filly,” rider Dwayne Dunn said. Trained by Chris Waller, the lightly-raced three-year-old was in front close to home before he was swamped by the favourite Mosheen, who won by a neck.

Said Com was bought by Waller during the Premier Sale at Karaka in 2010 for $290,000 and is out of the Centaine mare Centa Belt. She is a half-sister to Kevin Gray’s Gr 1 NZ 2000 Guineas winner Master Belt as well as Minnie Belt and Buckle Your Belt, who were also stakes winner from his stable.
