Golden sale for exciting young stallion

First-crop representatives of Super Seth did the Waikato Stud stallion proud during the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

He had seven youngsters through the ring and they sold to a welcoming buying bench for A$1,620,000 at an average of more than A$230,000.

Super Seth’s top-priced yearling was Lot 194, who was offered by Waikato Stud through the Sledmere Stud draft and was secured by Chris Waller and Guy Mulcaster on the second day of the sale for A$450,000.

The Matamata farm also sold a Super Seth colt from one of its premier families to expatriate Kiwi trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young for A$240,000.

Lot 680 is a son of the Savabeel mare Boulevard and she is a sister to the G2 Thousand Guineas winner Acting, who was prepared by Busuttin and Young and they also enjoyed dual Group 2 success with close relative Forgot You.

The third dam on the page is the two-time Group 1 winner Glamour Puss and her half-brother Vision And Power also won a brace of top-flight titles.

Also by Super Seth was Lot 818 and she went to the final bid of Victorian Adrian Hall for $150,000.

The filly is the second foal of the Savabeel mare Eleanor Rigby, who is a sister to the two-time Group 2 winner Coldplay and a three-quarter sister to the Listed Hawkesbury Rowley Mile winner Savacool.

Also the family of the Listed Red Roses Stakes winner and multiple Group 1 placegetter The Big Chill, Eleanor Rigby has an unraced two-year-old colt by Tivaci and is back in foal to the Group 1-winning son of High Chaparral.
