3YO Ocean Park filly too good
Quinsea crowned the promising start she has made to her career with success this afternoon at Ashburton.
The daughter of Ocean Park placed in her first two appearances for trainers Danny Champion and Kezia Murphy before she produced a gallant display to score over 1200 metres.
The Waikato Stud graduate quickly went into stride to sit outside the leader and finished off determinedly in the run home under rider Kate Hercock.
Quinsea is the first foal of the well-related Pins mare Ensemble, whose dam Costume was the dual. Group 1 winner of the Herbie Dyke Stakes and the Hawke’s Bay Spring Classic.
She is a half-sister to Masquerade, who claimed an edition of the Listed Soliloquy S. with the G3. Taranaki Breeders’ Stakes winner Kisses is also featured on the pedigree page.
Ensemble produced a colt by Tivaci last season before visiting Super Seth.
