Update for Super Seth filly
A daughter of Super Seth heading to next month’s New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale has enjoyed a pedigree boost.
The filly will be offered by breeder Waikato Stud as Lot 215, and her half-brother Star North opened his winning account in Singapore this evening.
The patiently handled four-year-old was successful over 1200 metres in his fifth appearance for trainer James Peters after three previous placings.
Star North was sold by Stonehouse Thoroughbreds on behalf of the Matamata farm at the Inglis Melbourne Yearling Sale, where he was knocked down for A$205,000 to agent Bevan Smith.
He is the first winner for the No Excuse Needed mare Masquerade, who was successful in the Listed Soliloquy Stakes, and she also has an unraced two-year-old filly by Super Seth.
Masquerade is a half-sister to the two-time Group 1 winner Costume and the family of the G3 Taranaki Breeders’ Stakes winner Kisses.
