Super WS colt makes waves on Coast

Super Seth

Waikato Stud and its exciting young resident stallion, Super Seth, made a splash on the opening day of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale this afternoon.

The Matamata nursery’s sole offering during the first season was a colt, Lot 45, and significant pre-auction interest in the youngster translated into the ring.

The well-related bay was the subject of spirited bidding before he was knocked down for A$470,000 to prominent trainer Anthony Freedman.
He is out of the Ocean Park mare Pink Graffiti, a three-time winner from one of the farm’s most successful families.

The dam is a half-sister to the two-time Group 1 winners Glamour Puss and Vision And Power, the G2 Stan Fox Stakes winner and to the mother of the G1 Coolmore Classic winner Steps In Time.

Pink Graffiti, who is in foal to Savabeel, is also a three-quarter sister to Pretty To Sea, who was successful in the Listed Hallmark Stud Handicap.

Other highly decorated members of the family include the G1 Northerly Stakes winner Dom To Shoot, another Coolmore Classic winner in Espiona and the Group 2 winners Acting and Forgot You.
