Dream effort from Super Seth 3YO
Super Seth colt Savour The Dream added to his burgeoning record with a hollow victory at Eagle Farm this afternoon.
The Bevan Laming-prepared three-year-old gave weight and a beating to his rivals in his first appearance over 1600 metres under rider Martin Harley, who executed the pre-race plan to perfection.
Savour The Dream was allowed to drift to fourth last on the fence and when the field fanned out into the straight the colt lengthened stride impressively to romp home by a length and three-quarters.
“He was always going to be ridden conservatively with his weight (60kg) and going from 1200 metres to the mile,” the trainer’s son Richard said.
“He put them away well, he put his hand up and he’s got a very good future.
“There are plenty of options for him and he’s going to get further the way he relaxes.”
Savour The Dream now has a brace of wins and four minor placings from his six appearances.
He was bred by Tony Rider and purchased out of Milan Park’s draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $180,000 by John White Bloodstock.
Savour The Dream is a son of the Savabeel mare Savvy Dreams, who was successful on two occasions and also placed in the Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks and Gr.3 Lowland Stakes.
