Super Seth 3YO remains unbeaten
The Bjorn Baker-prepared Puntin continued the perfect start he’s made to his career with another victory romp this afternoon.
The son of Super Seth was untested to keep his unbeaten record intact with the outside barrier at Moruya and a rise in trip against older opposition not proving any problem for the three-year-old.
Puntin had been a debut winner over 1200 metres at Nowra and he impressively stepped up to 1400 metres, working his way to the head of affairs and waltzed clear in the run home to win by four lengths.
“Once he got the front he settled well and kept up a sustained gallop, he’ll get a mile as he took a bit of pulling up,” rider Ash Morgan said.
Puntin was bred by Jonathan Munz’s GSA Bloodstock and sold through the draft of Haunui Farm at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale to Baker and Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA) for $60,000.
He is out of the Encosta de Lago mare Stella Grace, whose five foals to race have all been successful.
She is a half-sister to two-time Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placegetter Shania Dane, whose brother Scintillation was a six-time stakes winner in Hong Kong, and the family of the Gr.1 Diamond Stakes winner Summer Passage.
