Super result as Puntin remains unbeaten

Puntin (Super Seth) bought by Bjorn Baker and Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA)

The Bjorn Baker-trained Puntin (Super Seth) extended his unbeaten record to three with an impressive city win at Warwick Farm on Monday, 27 January, over 1,600m.

Jumping from barrier four in a nine-horse field under the in-form Ash Morgan, the son of Super Seth settled well, found the rail, and led the field home by 0.69 lengths.

A graduate of the 2023 NZB Karaka Yearling Sale, Puntin was sold by Haunui Farm for $60,000 to Bjorn Baker Racing and Jim Clarke of Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA).

Puntin’s success continued a remarkable week for his sire, Super Seth.

His daughters, the WS-bred La Dorada (ex Gold Fever), triumphed in the Karaka Millions 2YO for Te Akau Racing, while Group 3 winner Sethito (ex Suavito) secured her spot in the $3.5 million NZB Kiwi (1,500m), the southern hemisphere’s richest race for three-year-olds, for Waikato Thoroughbred Racing’s slot.
