From Hong Kong to home, more winners for Ardrossan
Sha Tin hosted Hong Kong racing on Tuesday, 1 July and it was Pearl Of Pang‘s who put in a gutsy performance to win well in Race 8 over the mile for Manfred Man and owner Dennis Pang Chi Ping.
The four-year-old is out of the Redwood mare Squaw and was imported to Hong Kong in March of last year.
On Wednesday, Sweetasme was the runaway winner of the opening race at Rotorua, winning by five lengths for local trainer Ray Fleming – the four-year-old having his second start, click here to watch the race replay.
He is out of the Black Minnaloushe mare Azloushaz, and was bred by Mrs D F & Miss H M Fleming.
These two winners come just days following Pacifico‘s dazzling performance to take out the Whangarei Gold Cup Stayers’ Final at Ruakaka on Saturday, 28 June, on the seven-day back-up.

Mary and I had a great weekend. As usual, Taupo Race Club put on a couple of days that encourage you to go to the races. The lead-in to the day was an hour or so at the iconic Yacht Club Bar – an easy place to be, perched above the lake: wine, beer and pizzas provided. A chance to meet and greet, bearing in mind the visitors that make the effort to attend.
