Further success for stand-out broodmare
The unraced Pins mare Eudora has found her niche in the breeding barn and has become a valuable member of Waikato Stud’s broodmare band.
All four of her foals to race have been successful following Savvy Boy’s success at Riccarton on Thursday afternoon with the pride of her brood the outstanding performer Savvy Coup, who won the G1 New Zealand Oaks and the G1 Livamol Classic.
The daughter of Savabeel was a $65,000 Karaka graduate and at the end of her career was purchased by Coolmore for A$1 million at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Broodmare Sale.
Savvy Coup was trained by Michael and Matthew Pitman, who also prepare her half-brother Savvy Boy and he led all the way to comfortably break his maiden after making the play out in front.
From the homebred family of multiple top-flight winner Probabeel and G1 Flight S. winner Never Been Kissed, the son of Rock ‘N’ Pop was bought out of the Matamata farm’s Karaka draft for $50,000.
