Police makes a statement in Queensland

Tivaci 3-year-old Police has made an instant impact from his new quarters in Queensland.
He was resuming off a five-month break and was produced in fine fettle by local trainer Ricky Vale to score over 1050 metres at Rockhampton on Friday afternoon.
Police began his career in Sydney with Annabel Neasham and was subsequently transferred to Richard and Michael Freedman’s stable and placed multiple times for both operations before making his way to the Sunshine State.
He was originally sold at Karaka for $140,000 before changing hands via the Inglis Digital Sale in December for A$32,500 and is out of the O’Reilly mare Virginia, who delivered a colt by Savabeel in 2021 and was served by Super Seth.
Virginia is a sister to the multiple Group 1 winner and producer Alamosa and also the family of the G1 Schweppes Oaks winner Lights Of Heaven and Dal Cielo, successful in the G1 Diamond S.
Police jumped well from an inside gate today to sit fourth on the fence and once rider Ryan Wiggins eased him into the clear 500 metres from home, the gelding hit top gear to win going away by 1.5l.

With multiple stakes winners and two Group 1 stars already, Super Seth’s early success as a sire continues to shine on both sides of the Tasman – and Kia Kaha adds to that story.
