Price-Kent Jnr go to A$420,000 for son of Seth
Yearling sales season in Australasia has commenced with a bang for Waikato Stud, with the Matamata nursery offering its first yearling of 2026 at Magic Millions on the Gold Coast, resulting in a phenomenal for the son of Super Seth.
The bids came thick and fast for the colt out of the Group 2-winning Savabeel mare, Acting. It was Mick Price Racing and Breeding, MyRacehorse and Belmont Bloodstock (FBAA) who landed the final bid of A$420,000 for Lot 21.
Offered through the draft of the Thompson family’s Widden Stud, this colt is bred on the same cross as the Waikato Stud-bred Group 1 winner, La Dorada (ex Gold Fever).
All eyes will now turn to Karaka where Waikato Stud will offer a draft of 77 yearlings.
