Super Seth filly impresses
Super Seth’s classy daughter Diablo Blanco took another winning step toward an upcoming
black-type target when she romped to victory on the synthetic track Riccarton on Saturday afternoon.
The three-year-old had no trouble putting away her age group rivals on the synthetic track for the third win of her six-start career.
Sent out at less than odds on, the Richard Didham-trained Diablo Blanco lobbed along in second spot to the turn before she easily lengthened stride under Ashvin Goindasamy to be out on her own at the end of 1200 metres.
“She gallops on the synthetic and enjoys it, I expected her to win and she’ll go to the Canterbury Belle (Listed) in three weeks’ time,” Didham said.
Diablo Blanco was bred by Milan Park’s Tony Rider with Little River Thoroughbreds who both remain in the ownership group.
A half-sister to stakes performer Miss Dixie, the filly is out of the No Excuse Needed mare Phoebe Snow who is out of a half-sister to Waikato Stud’s G1 Makfi Challenge Stakes winner I Do.
