Puntin adds fourth with special Rosehill win
The cheers from Rosehill Gardens would have been heard far and wide as the Bjorn Baker-trained three-year-old son of Super Seth, Puntin added a fourth win to his record taking out Race 3 over 1400m on Saturday, 28 June.
Under the guidance of Ash Morgan, the pair jumped form Barrier 7 of the nine-horse field and found the lead with the race all but over as Puntin went down the fence to salute, a special win for his large group of owners who named their Super Seth yearling purchase after a late, great friend, Seth Puntin.
This win was Puntin’s sixth start and fourth win. He was bred by Jonathan Munz’s GSA Bloodstock, Puntin was sold at the 2023 NZB Karaka Yearling Sale by Haunui Farm for $60,000 to Bjorn Baker Racing and Jim Clarke of Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA).
Super Seth’s star continues to shine with a stellar season that has seen him produce four Group 1 winners, three from his first crop (Feroce, Linebacer and Maison Louis), and one from his second crop (La Dorada).
